Orange, red, yellow… nasturtiums have these warm tones which evoke their country of origin, South America and their tropaeolacea family.

Where and when to see them?
They are the prelude to autumn in Claude Monet’s garden. They offer a particularly impressive vision when the Lobb nasturtiums begin to spread over the central path. They totally transform the principal perspective of the garden. Cut, Monet paid tribute to them in two paintings “Capucines dans un vase bleu” and “Vase de capucines”.

How to cultivate them?
They are sown in pots in groups of five seeds at the beginning of April in the greenhouse, hardened out in cold frames and planted in the garden after all danger of frost, about May 15th. They grow very quickly and cover the main path little by little during summer
